This year's New Year's The Cheat mix is a bit shorter, clocking in just under a much more approachable 55 minutes and focuses on the French-inspired electro sound that I love so much and that has been rocking clubs all over the shop during the last few years. I hope you all enjoyed the New Year's set, especially given the amount of time that it has taken me to put together a new mix. Between spending a month on the other side of the planet, starting up a new daytime gig, and making further refinements to my secret weapons of music-finding destruction, it's been more than a little difficult to find time to get mixes out anywhere near as often as I might like. In any case, here we are so let's get on with it! This time around, the mix features a collection of tracks I've been sitting on for a while, in a few cases since before the last mix was posted! Some are hotties from last year that I haven't had a chance to drop here on twopointzero.ca until now, most are new releases from the first few months of 2007, and all are bangers. The start leans a little retro, the end leans more than a little towards pop, but by and large the central theme revolves around banging (primarily French) electro, largely inspired by a recent Vancouver visit by none other than the Ed Banger Records crew (by far the best club show to go off in Vancouver depuis longtemps.)
