“Where even white robots can find the blippy, glitchy beat, Shiny Metal Ass-Shakers is where every good little robot goes to get laid.”
At the intersection of minimal house and electro there’s a sound that only a machine can understand but that every human can love. Analog synths, syncopated rhythm, blips and beeps, glitch-craft, and sampledelia all come together to create a machine funk that gets even the nicest, most politically-correct robots out of their pants and onto the dance floor. That’s right, boys and girls, even their oily cams and widgets are out there for all to see.
Shiny Metal Ass-Shakers gets humans onto the dance floor, in amongst the cams and widgets, writhing together man against machine. The known and unknown hits in this mechanically-funky space are too minimal to be electro, too electro to be minimal, and too god-damn robotically sexy to be ignored.
