The deafening silence

The few people that visit this site rather than just subscribe to my podcast over in the iTunes Music Store have probably been wondering what I’ve been up to recently. Yes, I’m talking about you, and thank you for dropping by!

Well, there are a few things going on right now that I’d like to take a moment to update you on, just so you don’t end up thinking that I’m dead and there won’t be any more great electro mix sets. Well, first and foremost, summer’s usually a ridiculously busy time for this particular dj, between day work and night work and non-work. This year it’s been purely insane. In a close second place is that fact that summer is a horrible time of year for the type of music I like to discover and spin, as everyone seems to be in Ibiza dancing to mainstream eurocrap. :) In a close third place, the tools I’ve put into place to help me find and audition new tracks from various online vendors are in desparate need of further improvements to make them even more time-efficient, so I’m investing that time now so that when the summer new release slump ends I can be up to warp 10 finding new tracks.

So, if you’ve been wondering what’s up, well, that’s what’s up. Do stay tuned though, either here on this site or over in the iTunes Music Store, as I’ll be working on a new mix set shortly and will be catching up on recent fresh tracks not long after that.

re: “What’s happening?” – not too much. Things have been crazy online and offline, both in and outside of my dj time. Suffice it to say, however, that I do plan to get a new mix up in the next week (before I head out of the country for a few weeks). The new mix will be a bit of a year-end-round-up of sorts, with more than a few favorites from previous years thrown in for good measure. Stay tuned!
