I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot in recent months, but if you were only inclined to believe me a single time, now would be that time. I have no idea what the labels are up to this week, but whatever it is certainly doesn’t involve releasing new music. Not even compared to recent weeks. To that end, and I’m very sad to have to say this, there will only be Shiny Metal Ass-Shakers Fresh Tracks this week, because I’m certainly not going to post Fresh Tracks for The Cheat with just two songs (and not even great songs) in the list. As it stands, even the list of Ass-Shakers below are only shaking their asses a little bit instead of a lot. :(
- Agaric – Elastic Collisions (Original Mix) [Treibstoff Recordings]

- Frank Lorber and Sikora – Re-Boiled (Krikor’s Fried Mix) [Nummer Schallplatten]

- Jack Kilby – Transistor (Original Mix) [Sixty Four Records]

- Juan Farcik – Closed (Original Mix) [2600 Records]

- Namito – Zwei (Nams Joujou Mischung) [Kling Klong]

For all of The Cheat’s fans that are reading this post right now and wondering ‘why the hell is this in The Cheat category!?!?’, I just thought you should know what has happened to your bangin’ tunes this week. Do stay tuned, though, because the time that has been freed up from the sheer lack of new tracks to audition this week has been put to good use. I’ve been working on new systems and processes for hunting down new tracks and, more importantly to you, I am happy to announce the following:
After more than a month without a dj twopointzero mix and more than two without one for The Cheat – both of which due primarily to being called out of town on business repeatedly :( – there will be a new The Cheat mix set posted within the next week, and believe you me, it is bangin’. Hard electro, dirty fat bass and beats, roller rink -inspired dance rock, and more than a little bit of humour (primarily in foreign languages :). Stay tuned!
