I’m happy to share with you the first dj twopointzero Shiny Metal Ass-Shakers mix set. This set took a little longer to pull together than the last one, due in part to the small number of good new releases in the last couple of weeks. Narrower in focus than the usual Shiny Metal Ass-Shakers set, this mix sets aside the more electro sounds and zeroes in on more minimal (but still damn funky) sounds. Even with the lack of recent releases, I had to work pretty hard to keep the track list focused on the theme I wanted for the mix: blippy, glitchy, robotic house music.
Another difference this time around is that the mix was recorded blind and unrehearsed, as all the tracks included are brand new or relatively new to my collection and I have never mixed them as you are about to hear them. Whether you choose to dance to the grooves, bob your head, or just plain have a seizure, I hope you enjoy it.
